Rising country music star Nick Tyrrel didn’t set out to be a trending singer and songwriter. He was going the way of the baseball diamond as a player with big-league dreams until fate intervened.
“I played baseball all my life,” said Tyrrel, who is now 23. “I started playing music at age 20.
“I took my first guitar lesson on a whim. I almost didn’t go,” he continued. “My instructor, he played the guitar and I sang a song. He was like, ‘Dude, you have a great voice.’ That was the first little sign.”
The signs kept coming. As he picked up the pieces of his life in the aftermath of a breakup, he wrote a song called “Thin Blue Line” while sitting on a park bench.
