(San Fransico, Ca) - Bay-area country music artist Nick Tyrrel has announced the release of his latest single, “Coming Through Your Radio.” The single can be streamed on all major services, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. Distributed by Merica Records (formerly the 1225 Label Group), the song is the end result of a collaboration involving several of the top talents in Nashville.
Tyrrel co-wrote “Coming Through Your Radio” with Grammy-nominated and multi-hit songwriter Clay Mills (“Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It” by Darius Rucker, “Beautiful Mess” by Diamond Rio,) multi-platinum producer Mike Krompass (Smash Mouth, David Archuleta) and Ashley Clark (produced by Mutt Lange). The single was recorded at Krompass’ Nashville studio, Twelve Records, Inc.
“Writing this song was such an interesting experience,” says Tyrrel. “I had already started working on the idea, and I had a verse and a chorus, but that co-write with Clay, Mike and Ashley was my first time ever meeting Clay, and he asked me to play something. So I played him that verse and chorus, and he really liked it, so we all sat down and wrote the full song.”
Tyrrel says he came up with the idea for the song when he was dating a woman in California. Knowing he wasn’t going to be able to see her anymore, Nick had the idea that she would only ever hear from him again when he was on the radio, and from that, the concept of the song was born. Mills had high praise for Tyrrel.
“When you first hear Nick's voice, you get that it's a great sound right away. But as you listen further, you are hit with a depth of emotion and experience that few can match while singing a melody,” says Mills.
